Total Solar Eclipse over Spain, 12 August 2026
On 12 August 2026 a total solar eclipse crosses northern Spain with the Sun very low on the horizon (between 2° and 12° altitude). That makes where you stand everything: a single hill, building, or tree line can block the Sun during totality. Sunset Atlas analyses the horizon at 30-metre resolution to show you where the western sky is clear. The path of totality runs from Galicia to the Balearic Islands, passing through Asturias, León, Burgos, Zaragoza, and Valencia.
